This Southern California home needed an updated landscape to match recently completed house renovations. Our clients wanted a modern style outdoor space that would feel open and clean. They loved the idea of having space for large indoor/outdoor get-togethers with friends. Although they desired a modern look, they wanted to make sure it didn't feel "cold". To accomplish all of this, we chose to maximize the patio areas and make the dominant material a bright wood. Custom architectural elements such as the beams over the backyard deck and built in bench seating make the landscape distinct. The elevation of the decks match the interior floor elevations to help make for a seamless transition from the indoor to outdoor living areas. Our clients are now enjoying a comfortable space to enjoy good weather and great friends.
